Oni-Con

Commissioned illustration for pop cultural convention Oni-Con, 2011.
Official 2011 event art used for promotions, advertisements, brochures, day badges, etc.

Oni-Con moved their location to Galveston Island and wanted a sea-related theme while maintaining their theme of Japanese "demons". I created a haunted Junk Ship with a Japanese-inspired mask with the kanji for "Oni" and crafted a movie poster appearance. I kept the pallet limited with the striking colors of red, black, and white. I also created additional auxiliary graphics of a ghost girl and jellyfish to be used on various materials.
