San Japan held a video game culture theme-related art contest in 2015. They used the winning art for their official badges and T-shirts. I worked on several concepts for the contest and settled on 3 designs, all winning illustrations, including the grand prize.

I went for an abstract eye-catching concept that would work well on a T-shirt or badge. They are reminiscent of retro and modern-day games. I sketched out the concept on paper.
