Waffle Punk

Was commissioned to create an illustration of two cyberpunk characters with a soft romantic aesthetic. Was asked to include hand holding, casual dress, and the dog "underfoot". The setting was up for interpretation and thus I created several quick mock scenes of what the final illustration could look like. We settled on a camping scene and I turned my focus on creating various casual poses that would work in a camp setting. After receiving feedback from the client's chosen pose, I reiterated that pose with possible positions of dog in that pose. I took a lot of care in the body language, expressions, and color choices in this piece. The pinks and purples representing the characters and the yellow glows for the warmth and comfort of the couple.
